Celebrate Giving Tuesday with Project Yoga! December 3, 2024 🧡

Celebrate Giving Tuesday with Project Yoga and Support Wellness in Our Communities

Celebrate Giving Tuesday with Project Yoga at Nine Giant Fermentorium. We’re thrilled to invite you to an evening of relaxation, community, and fun. Join Bridget Henson, owner of Practice Yoga Cincinnati and long time Project Yoga supporter, as she leads a sixty-minute yoga class. The yoga class will be accessible to all levels of yoga and held in a private space located in the NG Fermentorium. Following a sweet evening yoga practice, enjoy a happy hour with refreshments and light snacks—perfect for mingling, making new friends, and supporting a great cause. A beverage* of choice and snacks are included with your registration. (beverages options include beer, wine, and lots of non alcoholic options)

This special fundraising event is generously sponsored by Nine Giant Fermentorium . We are truly grateful for NG’s sponsorship and continuous support of our mission!

About Giving Tuesday: Giving Tuesday began in 2012 with the intention to establish a day dedicated to inspiring people to make a positive impact. The movement was created and nurtured at New York City's 92nd Street Y through its Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact. On Giving Tuesday millions of individuals use their power of radical generosity to impact communities for good in many ways.

This Giving Tuesday, December 3, please join Project Yoga in bringing the healing power of yoga and mindfulness to those who need it most. Every donation helps us expand our school and community programs, offering tools for mental health, resilience, and well-being to underserved communities throughout Greater Cincinnati.

Your generosity makes a real difference. With your support, we can continue to provide trauma-informed yoga to children, families, and individuals facing stress, anxiety, and life’s challenges. Together, we can foster a ripple effect of kindness, peace, and healing in our city.

All proceeds from this event will directly benefit Project Yoga, helping us continue our mission to bring the healing benefits of yoga to underserved communities.

Don't miss this chance to give back while taking care of yourself. Spread the word to family, friends, and businesses looking to support a meaningful nonprofit like Project Yoga. Reserve your spot today!

Please bring your own yoga mat. A limited number will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Donate by registering today and help us spread the benefits of yoga to all. Every breath, every moment, every gift counts! 🌿 #GivingTuesday #SupportProjectYoga

PLEASE CLICK THE IMAGE ABOVE TO REGISTER. THANK YOU!

At Project Yoga, we recognize trauma's profound and far-reaching effects on individuals and communities. We are committed to offering trauma-informed yoga instruction throughout all our programs, ensuring a safe and supportive space for healing.

According to the National Center for PTSD, approximately 6 in 10 men (60%) and 5 in 10 women (50%) will experience at least one trauma in their lifetime. Child abuse and neglect are also widespread, with at least 1 in 7 children in the U.S. having experienced abuse or neglect within the past year (CDC, May 2024). Given these statistics, it is likely that most yoga classes will include trauma survivors, especially in the underserved communities where Project Yoga operates in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Trauma-informed yoga is specifically designed to create a safe, supportive environment for individuals who have experienced trauma. Our instructors are trained to be sensitive to the unique needs of trauma survivors, fostering an experience that prioritizes safety, choice, and empowerment. This approach integrates mindfulness, breathwork, and movement to support healing.

This two-day training, hosted at Mint Yoga Studio in Fort Thomas, KY, provides comprehensive trauma education and SEL (social-emotional learning)-based trauma-informed yoga instruction. Participants will engage in hands-on training, group work, and practical applications, and upon completion, will receive a book and certificate.

Donation: $125

Continuing education authorization upon request.  Snacks will be served, but please bring your lunch

Kids Yoga Training Workshop

This training will be led by one of Project Yoga’s own amazing teachers, Emily Hunt. Emily is a 200 RYT with continued education of 150 hours in the Rocket Vinyasa System and 72 hours of kids yoga training through Kidding Around Yoga with Haris Lender. She has assisted in 200-hour trainings and 60-hour Rocket trainings in Cincinnati at Yoga Ah and in Costa Rica.

Most of her jobs have involved kids and since she has been teaching yoga to adults for years, she decided to create her own business to share the benefits of the practice with our younger generations. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Graphic Design and used her marketing skills to develop Busy Being Kids Yoga to teach children tools to naturally enhance their focus, emotional awareness and personal creativity.

Emily has taught hundreds of kids yoga classes in over 40 Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky public schools as well as businesses in the area like Blue Manatee Children's Bookstore and Happen, Inc in Northside. She has trained over 30 yogis on how to effectively teach yoga to children, with an emphasis on playful FUN!

If you are new to teaching yoga to children or simply need a refresher on some new techniques, games and activities, this training will leave you feeling prepared to lead children through appropriate mindfulness exercises and yoga poses appropriate for different ages. Best of all, we will have lots of fun and learn together to work toward a more peaceful generation! For more information, check our Emily's website: busybeingkids.com

The training costs $60 and you can register on Mint Yoga’s page here

We hope to see you there!
